I grew up playing as many sports as I could, baseball, tennis, football, rugby, basketball. As a kid, sport was where I felt most at home.
A Life in Sport
At 13 I was diagnosed with an osteopathy affecting the growth plates in my legs and was told to avoid all things painful, even walking to school, and to wait until I was “fully grown.”
Answers
After 4 YEARS away from team sport, I was finally cleared at 17 — but my body wasn’t prepared at all. Injury after injury followed, no matter the sport, ending back where I started.
Return & Re-Injury
I had finally had enough of cycling through endless physio and doctors appointments just to be told to rest, stretch and wait. I thought “ if they don’t have the answer’s I’ll fix this myself”.
Do It Myself
I pursued sports rehab at uni graduating top of my class, started work full-time in the NHS, founded MWA , offered services to clubs, academies and gyms. Finally, I began rebuilding myself as an athlete.
